Update #13, She Pooed!!!


Thanks to Anna Mortensen for the awesome T-shirt. As you can see by the NG tube she's still not eating, at least not through her mouth. Her bowels are working none the less, as we found out today! It has been a discouraging roller coaster for Susan, but this is another step closed to the finish line and she feels quite "relieved" for having reached this new milestone.

Congrats on reaching your latest milestone. I'm sure they'll keep coming faster now that you've made it through the initial shock to your system.
Keep working on making your way home. As I'm sure you've figured out already, in some respects, hospitals are no place to get better.

Mathews first poop was in his BED!!!! I did help the nurse clean up though lol...
You are one brave woman Susan and hats off to you. We both send our best to you... Maybe you will be out next week and go home... Here's to that.........

Don't worry, wee do a lot of cheering in our house too for pooing, Carter has been backed up lately so when it comes out I get prety excited.
Yay for one step closer to recovery from your surgery, keep the bowels moving!!!
